Lake Minnewasta is the easy outdoor break west of town, reached by driving out Highway 3 and south on Colert Crescent. It has a beach, trails, paddling, fishing, and winter use, so locals treat it as Morden's year-round recreation area rather than just a summer campground.
For visitors, it is best as a low-key reset after the museums or as a picnic stop on a warm day. It will not compete with Manitoba's wilder lakes, but it adds open sky and water to a town otherwise defined by prairie fields.
