Kahoutek Ski Club keeps Grand Falls useful after the gorge season. Its groomed cross-country ski trails start behind the E. & P. Senechal Centre, with routes for classic skiing, skate skiing, and snowshoeing.
It is mainly a local club, but travellers passing through in winter can turn a highway stop into a proper outdoor break.
