Hartland's public library occupies the town's old federal post office, a 1912 brick building with a clock tower, heavy stone trim, and the solid small-town confidence of early Canadian civic architecture. It is a modest stop, but it sits close to the bridge and helps Main Street feel like more than a pull-off.
Step inside if it is open, especially for the upper-level view toward the river and bridges. Even from the street, the building is worth a look while walking around town.
