Labrador Military Museum

The Labrador Military Museum is small but important, because Goose Bay's story is inseparable from its air base. Displays cover the base's founding in 1941, wartime ferry flights to Europe, Cold War training, and the Canadian, American, British, Dutch, and German air forces that passed through.

It sits inside the CANEX building on CFB Goose Bay, so check access and hours before you go. For a traveller crossing Labrador, this is the clearest local explanation of why such a large airfield exists here.
