This small museum uses the old railway station and engine house to tell the less famous half of Louisbourg's story. After the French fortress was gone, the harbour stayed useful because it was ice-free, and coal from the Sydney coalfields moved through here by rail. The vintage cars, station details and local displays are modest, but they add useful texture after the fortress.
