Acadian Trail

Loop trail climbing above the Chéticamp River to coastal and highland views.

The Acadian Trail is one of the most rewarding hikes near Chéticamp. It climbs steadily from the national park's western side to viewpoints over the Acadian coast, Chéticamp River valley, and the highland interior.

It is long enough to feel like a real outing but not a backcountry expedition. Bring water and watch for sudden changes in weather, especially when cloud settles on the plateau.
