Chéticamp Island shelters the harbour and gives some of the best simple views back to the village, church, and highlands. It is not a formal attraction in the museum-and-ticket sense; it is a place for a slow drive, a walk, and a better feel for how the village sits between sea and mountain.
It works especially well near sunset, when the Gulf side opens wide and the houses of Chéticamp line up across the water.
