The Gypsum Mine & Quarry Trail is an easy out-and-back walk to a flooded gypsum quarry with clear, bright water below low hills. It is popular for photos and summer swims, and the short distance makes it useful when you do not have time for a longer national park hike.
The trail is simple, but the quarry edges and informal viewpoints still need care. Go early or late if you want the place quiet.
