Glasgow Square Theatre sits on the downtown riverfront and gives New Glasgow a proper year-round performance space. It hosts concerts, plays and community events, and in summer the venue opens toward the river for festivals and outdoor shows.
Check the schedule rather than turning up cold. When something is on, this is one of the better ways to see the town as a living local centre rather than a highway stop.
