Ottawa House By-the-Sea Museum

Ottawa House is a Georgian timber house near Partridge Island, built in the eighteenth century and now run as a local history museum. Its rooms look at the Parrsboro shore's seafaring, shipbuilding, rum-running, and Confederation-era stories.

The setting does half the work: the veranda faces the Minas Basin, so the museum fits naturally with a Partridge Island walk. It is a small, local place, but it gives the shore a human history to match the geology.
