Burleigh Falls is a small but pretty set of rapids beside the Trent-Severn Waterway. Nearby Lock 28 bypasses the falls, with parkland on both sides and views toward Lovesick Lake.
It is an easy picnic stop and a good place to understand how the Kawarthas are stitched together by locks, lakes, and short carries.
