Kawartha Highlands is Ontario's largest park south of Algonquin, with canoe routes, portages, backcountry campsites, fishing, and quiet lakes. Several access points around the edge of the park lead into loop routes of different difficulty.
It is not a casual city park. Come prepared for water, bugs, navigation, and the possibility that a simple paddle will turn into the best part of the trip.
