The Art Gallery of Burlington, formerly the Burlington Art Centre, sits on Lakeshore Road in downtown Burlington, a block back from Spencer Smith Park. It holds Canada's largest public collection of contemporary Canadian ceramics — over 3,000 pieces — built around the studio crafts movement that took root in Ontario from the 1960s onward.
The galleries rotate a programme of contemporary Canadian art alongside the permanent ceramics display. Studios on site teach pottery, painting and printmaking, and an open-access ceramics studio runs for working artists. Admission is by donation; closed Mondays.
