Huron Historic Gaol

Octagonal 1840s jail turned museum and National Historic Site.

The Huron Historic Gaol opened in 1842 and served as the county jail until 1972. Its octagonal plan and preserved cells make it more memorable than most small-town heritage stops, and the building is now run as a museum.
