Kincardine's Scottish branding is most convincing when the pipe band marches through downtown on summer Saturdays. It is a short, old-fashioned civic ritual rather than a polished show, and that is the point.
If your timing is flexible, arrive late in the afternoon, see the harbour, and let the parade pull you back into town before sunset.
