St. Mary's Roman Catholic Cathedral is a tall limestone church in central Kingston, visible above the surrounding streets and easy to fold into a walk around downtown. The bells are part of the experience: they ring loudly enough that you may hear the cathedral before you reach it.
The visit is short, usually no more than half an hour, but the scale of the building and its 19th-century Gothic Revival form make it one of Kingston's stronger church stops.
