High Falls is the biggest and most satisfying of the Bracebridge waterfalls, set a few kilometres north of town where the Muskoka River drops over a wide rock ledge. It has the easy access of a roadside picnic area but still feels more natural than the downtown falls.
Short trails lead through the woods and along the river, with Little High Falls close by. The area is especially good in spring and after steady rain, when the brown Muskoka water pours hard over the granite.
