McFarland House

McFarland House is an early-19th-century house museum east of Niagara-on-the-Lake, close to the Niagara River Parkway. The house dates from around 1800 and gives a quieter view of local life before and after the War of 1812 than the nearby forts.

Guided tours are led by costumed interpreters, with rooms arranged to show domestic life in the period. In summer, the house is also known for afternoon tea, which makes it an easy stop when following the parkway between Fort George and Queenston.
