Port Dover Lighthouse

Small wooden Lake Erie lighthouse at the harbour mouth, tied to Port Dover's fishing and shipping history.

Port Dover Lighthouse stands at the end of the west pier, where the harbour opens onto Lake Erie. It is a modest wooden tower, but an old and attractive one, built when Canada was improving navigation on the Great Lakes.

Come for the walk as much as the structure. The pier gives broad views back to the beach and out over the lake, especially in clear evening light.
