St. Catharines is about 110 km southwest of Toronto along the QEW (Queen Elizabeth Way), 60 km north of Buffalo, NY, and 20 km from the Canadian side of Niagara Falls. Driving is by far the easiest way to get here and around the surrounding region.
Via Rail operates a daily train from Toronto to Niagara Falls that stops at St. Catharines; the journey takes about 90 minutes. GO Transit also runs a seasonal weekend train from Toronto to Niagara Falls calling at the city. The nearest major airports are Buffalo Niagara International (about 50 km) and Toronto Pearson (about 110 km).
