Terrace Bay Lighthouse

Highway-side lighthouse lookout with broad views over town, forest, and Lake Superior.

This 15-metre replica lighthouse stands beside Highway 17 and is the town's quick orientation point. Climb it in season for a view over Terrace Bay, the lake, and, on clear days, the Slate Islands offshore.

It is not a historic lighthouse, and that is fine. It does its job as a lookout and a useful break on a long north-shore drive.
