Brackley Beach

Wide national-park beach with dunes, warm Gulf water and easy access from Charlottetown

Brackley Beach is the area's main stretch of sand, backed by dunes inside Prince Edward Island National Park. It is popular for good reasons: the beach is broad, the water is relatively warm by Canadian standards, and the drive from Charlottetown takes only about twenty minutes.

Use the boardwalks through the dunes and expect crowds on hot summer afternoons. Early morning and evening are better if you want the north shore to feel spacious.
