Vauréal Falls is Anticosti's classic image: a 76-metre drop in a steep limestone canyon, reached by a hike through the national park. It is the one sight most visitors try hardest to include.
The falls are not near Port-Menier, and the road distances on Anticosti are easy to underestimate. Start early, check conditions locally and give the canyon more time than the map suggests.
