Pointe-Noire Interpretation Centre

Lookout and interpretation centre over the Saguenay-St. Lawrence Marine Park.

Pointe-Noire is the easiest place in Baie-Sainte-Catherine to understand the geography. From the terrace and belvedere you look over the Saguenay-St. Lawrence Marine Park, with Tadoussac across the water and the fjord opening inland.

Bring binoculars if you have them. Whales, seals and seabirds are often visible from shore in season, and the interpretation panels explain why this meeting of fresh and salt water is so rich in marine life.
