Haldimand is Gaspé's broad, sandy town beach, with supervised swimming in season, picnic space, volleyball, and a long view across the bay toward Forillon. The water is cold, but on a warm afternoon that is part of the point.
It is the place to slow down after the park or the museum. Bring a layer if the wind is up; this is still the Gulf of St Lawrence.
