Pedneault is the island's orchard stop, with apples, pears, plums, cherries, and a shop built around cider and fruit products. It gives the cycling loop a useful pause near the north side of the island, close enough to the ferry to visit even on a short trip.
The appeal is not only the tasting room. The orchards explain why this small island has always felt more settled and cultivated than many St. Lawrence shoreline villages.
