La Vieille École is a restored 1913 schoolhouse turned local museum. Its exhibitions lean into the village's own stories: fishing, hunting, trapping, relations between Innu and non-Innu communities, songs, and the lives of people who grew up before the road made Natashquan easier to reach.
It is the right scale for the place. You leave with a better sense of why this small community has such a large emotional footprint in Québec.
