Rivière-au-Tonnerre Shoreline

Village waterfront walk with Gulf views, fishing traces, and chances of marine mammals.

The village shoreline is the easiest place to feel where you are: rocky Gulf coast, river mouth, fishing traces, and wide North Shore weather. Interpretive panels and picnic spots make it a natural pause on the long Route 138 drive.

Do not expect a resort promenade. The point is the scale of the Gulf, the working-coast atmosphere, and the chance of seeing marine mammals offshore when conditions are right.
