The Pyramide des Ha! Ha! is a strange, shiny memorial to the 1996 Saguenay flood: a 21-metre pyramid covered in thousands of reflective yield signs. It stands in La Baie, near the river mouth, where the disaster is still part of local memory.
It is odd in the best roadside-monument sense, but not throwaway. The flood destroyed homes and displaced thousands of people, and the pyramid turns that recent history into something visible from across the park.
