The Saint-Mathieu covered bridge crosses the Shawinigan River north of the village. It is a modest stop, but a pleasing one if you like Quebec's rural covered bridges and the old road patterns they preserve.
Do not build the day around it. Use it as a short scenic pause between Mokotakan, the maze, and the road toward La Mauricie National Park.
