Cyclorama of Jerusalem

The Cyclorama of Jerusalem is a rare 19th-century panorama painting displayed in a round building near the basilica. The huge canvas wraps around the viewer to recreate Jerusalem at the time of the Crucifixion, using painted figures and foreground props for an early immersive effect.

It is old-fashioned in the best sense. Visit it as a piece of religious tourism history, not as a modern multimedia show.
