La Martre Lighthouse is a red timber lighthouse east of Sainte-Anne-des-Monts, set above the St. Lawrence on the north-coast road. Its appeal is simple but strong: the colour, the sea wind, and the sweep of Route 132 along the Gaspé shore.
The lighthouse still has a rare original Fresnel lens. In season, tours explain the light and the coast it guarded; outside those months, the grounds still make a good short stop on the drive.
