Clarke City Interpretive Centre

Small interpretive centre on the pulp-mill town that became an early North Shore industrial site.

The Clarke City Interpretive Centre explains a former pulp-mill settlement founded in 1898 by the Clarke brothers of Toronto. It was one of the North Shore's early industrial communities, and its story fits neatly with Sept-Îles' later port and railway role.

It is not the first stop in town, but it is worthwhile if you are interested in how industry shaped this coast.
