Colby-Curtis Museum

Colby-Curtis Museum occupies Carrollcroft, an 1859 granite villa on Dufferin Street. The house preserves furnishings, archives, and objects connected to the Colby family and the English-speaking border community that grew here in the nineteenth century.

It is the best place in Stanstead to add human scale to the border story. The house, garden, and domestic detail make the town feel less like a map oddity and more like a lived-in place.
