Bourlamaque Mining Village preserves the workers' settlement built beside the Lamaque Mine. Its rows of log houses are still inhabited, which gives the place a more interesting texture than a reconstructed heritage village.
The village was recognized as part of the Former Lamaque Mine and Bourlamaque Mining Village National Historic Site. Walk it with the mine story in mind: this is where the labour, families, and routines of the gold rush became a town.
