Good Spirit Lake Provincial Park is the strongest outdoor reason to base yourself around Canora. It has a long sandy beach, swimming, fishing, camping, and the Dune Discovery Interpretive Trail, where open sand and grassland make the prairie feel less flat and predictable.
The park is about 35 km southwest of town, so it is a short drive rather than an in-town sight. In summer it can fill a full easy day: beach in the heat, a dune walk when the sun softens, and a slow drive back through farm country.
