Danoja Zho Cultural Centre

Tr'ondek Hwech'in cultural centre on Front Street, grounding Dawson in a much older story.

Danoja Zho Cultural Centre tells the story of the Tr'ondek Hwech'in, whose homeland includes the confluence of the Yukon and Klondike Rivers. It is one of Dawson's most important stops because it pulls the town out of the narrow gold-rush frame.

Exhibits, films, crafts, and staff interpretation cover language, seasonal life, displacement, and cultural survival. Visit before or after the gold-rush buildings and the whole town makes more sense.
