Peter's Cave is the easiest of the Brac's caves to reach — a 15-minute climb up a stepped path from Spot Bay to a wide cool opening in the Bluff face, looking out over the north coast. Inside the cave broadens into a series of chambers with stalactites and bat colonies. It was used historically as a hurricane shelter and the locals have used it again, most recently during Paloma in 2008.
The cave is open, free, and unstaffed. A torch is essential — the back chambers are completely dark — and reasonable shoes for the climb. Nearby caves on the Bluff include Bats Cave, Great Cave and the smaller Skull Cave, all reachable from signposted trails along the Bluff Heritage trail.
