The roads here are dirt, potholed and long, and almost everyone ends up on a quad or a scooter. Pacific Dirt Road hires both at Playa Carmen with a fleet of over a hundred machines, helmets and lockable storage included, and delivers along Santa Teresa and Mal País.
They also run guided ATV tours out to the waterfalls and the Cabo Blanco end of the peninsula, which is the better use of one.
