Arctic Circle Trail

The Arctic Circle Trail is the classic long walk between Kangerlussuaq and Sisimiut, about 160 km of lake, tundra, rock, huts, and weather. For many visitors, Sisimiut is the reward at the western end: showers, food, sea air, and a town after days without roads.

You do not need to walk the whole trail to get a taste of it. Short marked hikes leave from the edge of Sisimiut into open country, but the full route is a remote trek that needs preparation and self-reliance.
