Sallinnguit, often called Tele Island, is the low island just west of Sisimiut's harbour. It is an easy half-day walk with views back to town, old industrial traces, and archaeological remains from repeated Inuit settlement over thousands of years.
You can walk it independently, but a guide helps make sense of what you are seeing. Without that context, some of the ruins are easy to miss in the rock and grass.
