Concord Falls is a three-stage waterfall system in the western flank of the Grand Etang reserve. The lowest fall, accessible by road from the village of Concord, is a 10-metre cascade with a swimming pool at its base — the easy stop, with a small visitor centre, restaurant and crowds in season.
The two upper falls, Au Coin and Fontainebleau, are reached only on foot — a 45-minute walk to Au Coin and a longer, harder hike to Fontainebleau through dense forest. Both are dramatic, both have pools you can swim in, and both see very few people. A guide is sensible for the upper trails: paths can flood, rivers must be forded, and finding the route through is not always obvious. The full traverse from Concord up through the reserve to the central road is a strenuous full-day hike.
