Honeymoon Falls

Honeymoon Falls is the smaller, quieter sibling of the Seven Sisters — a single high cascade dropping about 25 metres into a small pool, reached by a 45-minute walk through the forest off the central road. The path crosses streams, climbs a low ridge and descends steeply into a side valley dense with ferns and bamboo.

A guide from the visitor centre or the trailhead family is essentially required — the path is not signposted and crosses several private holdings. The waterfall is dramatic, the pool is good for a short cold swim, and you will almost certainly have it to yourself. Bring shoes you can ford streams in, and a small tip for the guide.
