Minibuses run from St. George's to Grenville over the island's central ridge, usually taking about an hour depending on weather, traffic, and how many times the bus stops. The road is scenic but winding, so allow more time than the distance suggests.
With a car, Grenville works well as part of a north-east coast loop: cross from St. George's through the interior, continue to River Antoine and Lake Antoine, then return via Sauteurs or the Grand Etang road. Roads off the main route can be narrow and rough after rain.
