Abricots

Coastal village at the far western tip of the peninsula

A small fishing village near the western tip of the Grand'Anse peninsula, named for the local apricot-coloured mangoes that ripen here in summer. The drive from Jérémie is the attraction as much as the destination — a curving road through cocoa farms, banana groves, and a string of beach coves with views back across the Gulf of Gonâve.

The village itself has a couple of guesthouses and a beach. Allow a full day for the round trip.
