Mirebalais lies on National Road 3, the route from Port-au-Prince toward the Central Plateau and Hinche. In normal times the road position makes the town a transport node; in current conditions, road movement in Haiti can be dangerous and should not be planned from old schedules or casual advice.
Check current security, fuel availability, roadblocks, and local contacts before any travel. If conditions improve, Mirebalais will again be a logical stop between Port-au-Prince and the interior, but for now practicality is less important than safety.
