Nohoch Mul

Nohoch Mul is Cobá's great pyramid, rising about 42 metres above the jungle. It is the structure most visitors remember, partly for its height and partly because the surrounding forest makes it feel more remote than the better-known pyramids on the main tourist trail.

Access rules have changed over time for conservation, so check the current INAH notice before assuming you can climb. Even from the base, the scale is clear.
