Parque Central Benito Juárez is the natural starting point in Comitán. The square gathers the municipal buildings, arcades, churches, benches, and everyday traffic of the old centre into one easy place to read the town.
Come late in the afternoon, when the light softens and the plaza fills with families. From here, the surrounding streets are good for an unhurried walk rather than a list of monuments.
