The local archaeology museum is small, but it gives Mascota more substance than a pretty plaza alone would. Its displays include ceramics, stone, bone, jewellery, and material from excavations in the municipality.
Use it as context before wandering the town. The best visit is unhurried: read what you can, then look again at the valley and its old routes with more imagination.
