Pahuatlán's zócalo is small, green, and useful: a bandstand, fountains, palms, the town hall, and the best place to watch ordinary life pass through the centre. On festival days, this is where music and dancing take over.
Look for the pole used for the Danza de los Voladores, a tradition the town claims as part of its local identity.
